Medium-sized companies on the election: “We cannot afford long coalition talks”

A grand coalition in Germany is likely after the federal election, and a quick agreement between the CDU and SPD is at least conceivable - and if it is up to the small and medium-sized businesses in this country, the backbone of the German economy, then this is exactly what is important after election night and the final certainties about the share of votes and the distribution of seats: a timely turnaround in the interests of the many thousands of companies that rarely appear in the headlines but together provide work for most people in this country. The FAZ spoke to some of them the day after the election.
